Greetings all! Long time viewer of this awesome forum and decided to finally join!
I reside in Georgia in the USA but hunt world wide, in addition I have been known to flail around with a fly rod in the local waters from time to time, will be doing a proper Scottish highland spot & stalk, wing shoot and fish this fall.
I love spot and stalk hunting and so far have taken tons of wild boar, white tail, American Elk and even a few Red Stag in Patagonia with that method, which is my preferred method of taking game. Recently did the Argentina hunt during the roar which kicked my spot and stalk hunting bug into overdrive.
I am a huge gun nerd and a bit of a perfectionist. I have a decently extensive collection but for hunting primarily shoot a custom Tikka in 300WSM with a lengthened throat, magazine and bolt stop for extra long, 220grn bullets, it sits in a Manners carbon fiber stock and is my rugged “not messing around rifle”. I also frequently use that rifles “little brother” which is a custom R700 short action in 7mm-08 also in a manners stock wearing a Nikon Monarch 4x, both are threaded for a supressor/moderator.
For shotguns I have an assortment of benelli’s in various gauges and recently picked up the sweetest little Fabarm 28ga O/U for quail and partridge shooting.
Currently working on a few project guns as well, including a 30-06 custom Mauser built on a 1909 Argentine action (had to have one after using one in Patagonia!) and recently acquired a CZ550FS in 9.3x62mm with a manlicher style stock and 20” barrel that I am very excited to outfit and use as my new heavy woods spot and stalk rifle.
