After the wife saying no more dogs, out of the blue I have been offered a 10 month of GSP because the owners health problems. And the missus will go for it because she feels sorry for it.
Ive never had an HPR before but have always fancied one and this may be the opportunity to train a dog purely for deer work.
I presume the GSP owners on here would rate them, so do I go for it.

If the dog has a quiet nature yes (i know its only young) but it wants to be steady (ish).

Its not one of yours unfortunatly, but apparently the stud dog is through a woman in the Ripon area who trials hers, so at least it is working stock and the dam is owned by one of our guns on the shoot.
