Gunsmith in the Coventry area

Greetings, I’ve got a mate who lives near Cov who’s got a couple of shotguns that need looking at - a Browning Cynergy with a trigger mechanism that locks up and a Bettinsoli that’s firing both barrels at the same time.

Anybody know of a good shotgun fixer in that area that won’t cost an arm and a leg?

Yep definitely a safe bet it might take a while as Norman has a very good order book and it won’t be the cheapest but probably the best around. Norman does all my smithing…..and I live in Herefordshire!

Those two factors are probably mutually exclusive, quality costs more in most cases. Norman will get it sorted I'm sure.

There was/is a gun shop in Canley just after the old Standards works near the fire station if they do repairs I don't know.

Conley gun shop is still there. Doesn’t even sell cartridges anymore! A few Second hand air rifles and shotguns. Probably some marksman pellets and some 20 year old .22 lr bullets if you get my drift. Norman Clark is superb.

I bought my 12G leather cartridge bag from them 20 years ago, I have never even used it yet.

Norman Clarke is first class.
He fixed an issue with my Tikka 690 that had baffled a few other smiths. He also removed and re fitted ( braised?) a bolt handle onto my mates .22ppc Cooper.
Not cheap, but for the first time since it was new, i had a Tikka that would extract fired cases correctly.
