Just bought a gun from Harper Fields auctions.

Any Irish shooters know of a gunsmith who has experience with Damascus barrels as when it arrives I want to send it for a once over before shooting.

What low pressure carts would you recommend putting through it for ramble around permissions shooting corvids/pigeons.

Years ago a shooting magazine, Sporting Gun, used to test shotgun cartridges. Eley Impax came out as the lowest pressure cartridge in the test.
Ardee Sports are the Eley importer and if Tony still works there will check your gun over.

Ardee sports have a couple of genuine resident gunsmiths on the payroll. Proper old school gentlemen who can make a part and temper it.
Assuming no major faults, and a suitable chamber, your gun should be fine with 65mm ( 2 1/2” ) 28Gm loads ( 1 Ozs ).
I’ve never seen one but there are some 2” chambered guns about.
That is a beautiful old gun, may it bring you much pleasure.
