Gyro calibration on digital optic

Hey gang,

I have an Arken Zulus.

When I calibrate the scopes gyro, does the scope need to be gyro’s or the rifle?

Ie: the optic is on a 20moa rail.

So do I make sure the rifle itself is level both horizontally and vertically and then click the calibrate button, or do I ensure the scope itself is level on both axis and then hit calibrate?

Due to the moa rail, the scope ofcourse is tilted downwards ever so slightly due to the 20moa rail built into my rifle.

I realise this may be picking at hairs, but I’m using it on an AGT Vulcan 3 sub 12 so variables have to be very tight.

Thanks all

In principle, level the scope and then hit calibrate.
However the gyro isn't sensitive to accurately angles as small as 20moa so it probably doesn't make any difference
Also, when it comes to adjusting the position of the holdover mark when shooting uphill or downhill, you won't see any difference until the angle is well above 10 degrees

Cheers

Bruce

Hi MJ< ok thanks for your response. I've gyro'd the scope to the rifle so as you're saying it makes no real world difference, i'll leave it. I cleanly bowled a crow off a tree top branch at 54 yards yesterday (.177 AGT Vulcan 3 using 10.34 JSB Heavies 12ft/b) so if it aint broke don't fix it!
