had a diy knife day today

had myself a little go at bodging together a knife with some red antler ,an old brusletto blade and an old brass door hinge ,tools were a dewalt drill and angle grinder and glass paper .this is what i came up with ,can anyone recommend a sheaf maker please
 
very nice mate ,get yourself onto that well known site and buy some vegetable tanned leather and some small brass rivets and do one they are alot simpler than they look,atb wayne
 
i used to make all my falconry kit wayne i was pretty good but tried my own hoods which were a disaster and it kinda put me off leather work ,quite enjoyed bodging today the weather was cr=p and didnt want to be too energetic lol
 
put some linseed on it and some lovely colour came out ....reds and a near bluey colour

No worries mate. Antlers more porous than you'd think, doesn't like getting wet, especially the core which can go mushy. Some folk like to seal antler handles with superglue.
