Finally got my hands on one!
as an intro it is one of the most interesting designs to hit the straight pull market in years (in my opinion!)
Looks like a standard bolt action.
Mag placement and action length are standard
Magazine has a locking switch that precludes it dropping out
Bolt removal and insertion are standard
Three position safety allows 1) Bolt cycling when not cocked, 2) Cocking firing 3) no bolt cycling locked trigger
Bolt handle acts as cocking handle also and tensions the firing pin spring
Trigger is crisp and clean
Picatinny Rail mounts built into the receiver either side of the ejection port are standard
Barrel profile is standard sporter
Very clean open sights are standard and easily removed
Muzzle threaded with invisible thread protector
Sling swivels attached via mini flush cups
Laminate stock with well apportioned grip and palm swell
Cycling is easy
Cocking is easy
Safety and bolt operation is simple but quite different at the same time
All for under £2k brand new
Is it a Blaser copy? No, couldn't be less Blaser-y
Downsides? currently only in 308 and 30-06 but that is due to change very soon
Other than that, if you are in the market for a straight pull or just something a little different then this is one of the most interesting new rifles I have seen in a long time
(this is filmed one handed holding the rifle between my knees! it is much smoother than this, but the operation is simple)
