I have a pair that are 11 years old now. These have been my go to boots for Stalking in the flow country Caithness, which is about as boggy as you can get! They started to leak on the goretex lining at the inside seams on the heal/ achilles area about three years ago, and were replaced by some dimme brand esscose calf high equivalent boots.
all in all very impressed with them, the grips were excellent on rock and mud. The boots never really let water in on the boggy ground for the first seven years, they are gtx lined all the way up to the last inch and a half of the top of the boot. They have quite a stiff sole, which is good on rocky/rough ground, especially if you have ankle problems like me, they strap up nice and tight and support very well!
Quality was good held up well. I have a second pair of lighter, low ankle hangwags, purchased on the basis of the quality of my trapper top GXT. This second pair of hiking boots are lasting well too.
my trappers top gtx are thermal lined however, which makes them too hot in autumn, worth checking this before you buy unless using mainly in winter. Highly recommended!
