HAPPY BIRTHDAY BBC!

I cant help thinking that the founding fathers (and mothers) of the Beeb would be disappointed in the round about the child today that they conceived back then.
In my mind its image has gone from Toff to Scruff in a very unprepossessing way.

To declare an interest, I gave up paying the tax for the BBC tax nearly 20 years ago.

The BBC was an integral part of growing up, and it is quite depressing to see how it has deteriorated over the years. In almost every survey I've seen, the BBC programmes that are praised were commissioned decades ago. It trumpets its historic reputation, whilst increasingly lacking relevance to those at both end of the age spectrum.

With so many more sources for information now available, the license fee model is now an anachronism. By all means let the BBC continue, but on the basis of a subscription paid by those who feel the output is valuable to them. Insisting everyone else should subsidise their viewing preferences borders on arrogance.

What boils my p**s is the way they’ve started using program announcers who can’t speak or pronounce words properly 😡 how long before we hear the terms ‘bunda’, ‘leng’ or ‘peng’ or sentences finished with ‘innit’??

Yep, the one we laugh at is the new pronunciation of “straight“ seems to have developed a couple of new h’s.
Shhtraight wtf???

That's because received pronunciation is now deemed too "posh", with even the BBC's own presenters being against it!

Here's to another 100 years of lies, deceit and biased reporting.
When I am in a nursing home losing my plot - one mention of the media will have me throwing bowls of tapioca around like a crazy man.

it's about time they sent the BBC to Dignitas, I've always been against Euthanasia but in the case of Auntie Beeb, i could be persuaded to change my mind, the biggest benefits scrounger.
