Wishing all the forum members Happy Holidays from Wyoming. I seldom post but I very much enjoy the forum threads about hunting, rifles and game animals in your part of the world. :)

Happy christmas we are moving to the US for a few years with my work an will arrive as of the 30th Dec in northern virginia outside Washington. Wyoming and Montana are on my hunting dream list so please let me know if you have any outfitters you could recomend. Thanks jason.

Wyoming! One place I would like to visit I think, some day. I know you can get some epic winter weather there, so hopefully it isn't too bad at the moment. Hope you're having an excellent Christmas.

You'll be in the middle of or within a couple hours of the best hunting you'll find anywhere.... Plenty of public land and real hunting instead of the staged or canned hunts that you'll pay a big outfitter for. Enjoy.....

Jason I only hunt public land so I can't recommend any. There's ample public land to hunt here in WY if you can draw a tag. There's national forest land in VA that you can hunt. Enjoy your stay here in the US.

I was looking at Wyoming and Montana drawings with envy... maybe one day a spread out there.

Nice to dream eh ;)

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas. You should post more often. I'm sure lots on here would love to know more about hunting in Wyoming. A few pics of where and what you hunt would nice too.

Thanks for the feedback reference hunting in Virginia yes on my last visit out there it seemed to be teeming with Whitetail. Looking forward to starting the adventure shortly in the mean time any hints and tips on shooting in the US/ Virginina would be appreciated.

Just go and introduce yourself to farmers, go to whatever public land you are near website, or just find a game warden and talk with him/her. Even go to a walmart and hang out in the sporting goods area and talk with folks that are buying hunting stuff. Get you some carhartts and blend in some.... I wouldn't show up in some of the outfits some europeans turn out in:roll:... Enjoy....

Welcome to the Great State of Virginia, the land of Mason and Madison, and my home state. Don’t forget to apply for a Concealed Carry Permit as you are a resident. It’s always a good idea to pack heat since everyone seems to have a gun these days. Just don’t carry it on the train into D.C. and be careful of the new knockout game and mob violence. Virginia has the Castle Doctrine, so you can legally gun the zombies down right when they come into your house! :cuckoo: (No I am not kidding) I hunt near the Blue Ridge and it is some of the finest Whitetail hunting. Just be careful when trying to stalk, and always wear the orange, as there is always some idiot out there that we'll shoot at anything that moves! Enjoy!

I was in Wyoming in October, hunting elk on Horseback in the Tetons next to Yellowstone. It should be a definite on your list, some of the biggest 6 pointed +600 monster bulls around. Start researching now for a guide / outfitter and plan to go in 2016!

Try BJ Hill at Swift Creek Outfitters, just Google it.
