Hey all ,anyone any experience with said scope , can't afford a sidewinder atm but as I'm sure you are a to aware ao is a pain with the pard 007 so looking to see if this is a viable option im currently using hawke vantage 4--12×50 ir ao its a great scope for the dough, but will the 44mm Objective impact the ir fro. The pard .

Cheers

I have the Vantage SF 3-12x44 which I use with an original Pard007. Apart from the side focus wheel being hellishly stiff when I got the scope originally it is really good and works fine with the Pard. Prior to this set up I had zero night vision experience but if I can work it it (on my 22LR for bunnies mainly) it must be simple and half decent!! I can spot things no problem at some distance with it, just not shooting all that far given its just a 22LR.

Thanks dude thats exactly the reply I was looking for, would it do out to 200 yrds I can maybe put it on my 223 aswel

Cheers

I would think so, I'm spotting bunnies and other other creatures 200+ yards away. I'm sure 200yds would be fine for your 223. I just use the IR illuminator in the Pard unit itself so I'm certain it would be even more effective with an additional IR torchy thing stuck to your scope as well.

Sweet mate whats your set up on the pard for that scope eg ocular focus 3mag parallax set at 20yrds etc cheers

Eh, your guess is as good as mine! I tend to use if on 3 or 4 mag and twiddle with the side focus on the scope as required. But after I set up the Pard (months ago) I don't touch its focus etc, just clip it on as usual and go.

Hey all, any experiences with that cheap Hawke Vantage series in general on rifles with a bit more recoil (in the 308-8x57 range)? With our without PARD?
thx

No mate cheers
200 yards at night? Sure you can’t hit anything at 50 yards in bright sunshine pal! The 44 will probably not be as good as 56 but whether at your advanced age you will actually notice any difference…..
Next time we’re out you can check out my £65 Hawke 3-9x56 on a decent rifle.
