Head Torch

I’m after a decent, comfortable to wear head torch after my old Petzl has started turning itself on unexpectedly.
Preferably rechargeable with a red work light and a decent main white light. The Olight Perun 2 Mini looks good, not sure if anyone’s used one?
Thanks

i now also own this H7R Core + K4R Twin Pack as well as the one i was kindly gifted,
H7R is for dog walking and is about as bright as they come, you shouldn't need anything brighter, and my other is for when im out at night shooting,

got mine here as it was cheaper 👍 Led Lenser H7R Core Head Torch H7R Core + Free K4R Keyring Torch 502948 | eBay

I am a massive Led Lenser fan.

2x H14R.2, 1x H7 and about half a dozen P7's in various pockets and vehicles (none of mine include a red option though)

I really fancy an H19 (other than the cost!) for no reason other than I want to be visible from space...

These OEX rechargeable headtorchs are very good value from Go Outdoors.
Only drawback is that Go Outdoors membership is £5 per annum.

I have an h14r.2 ,amazing light off of it ! Only complaint is that it can easily turn on when in storage, I unplug the connector now to avoid disappointment..and the button switch on the battery pack isn't ideal when it's on your head in the truck as bounces off headrest . Apart from that it's the best I've seen yet!
Also have a p7, older model, does for 0600 dog walks for quick fox, deer scans..
I recently bought a fenix Ht18 which is absolutely amazing so could be tempted to try some more of their stuff

Push and hold the power button for approx. 5 seconds (the light will flash to let you know) and you will activate the "lock" function on the headlamp so that it cannot be inadvertently switched on, same again to unlock it.

I agree about the headrest thing though. I usually end up hanging it over the gear selector when in the vehicle, or turning the whole unit sideways on my head.

Cheers

I use a nightcore HC65 white/red brilliant bit of kit it has a hard life used in work and foxing never had a problem my mate got the fenix shadowmaster white/red thats very good the red light on that is very powerful some good reviews of both on YouTube

Another big fan of Led Lenser (LL)
I used to like Petzl and have a few which as close range worklights are ok, but totally lack the punch for distance of LL.
Recently had to replace the HR7 batteryat a cost of around £25 but no hesitation.

Handy being able to recharge in the motorhome or car via usb lead.

I also have an LL HR14 which is a stronger light, more distance and more adjustability but the HR7 is lighter and comfier so just pop on and go.
@andybrock decide what your needs are and then choose accordingly?
For me the HR7 is my go to headtorch beating all my others for top spot but if it's an extended job or say cave visit then I'd take the HR14 everytime.

I have at least x3 Petzl which are good for round home, in a tent etc but LL everytime for something more serious.

As it happens i treated myself this last week to a Ledlenser H15R Core that turned this week , ok @£150 ish quid sounds a fair bit and i was skeptical but decided to give it a punt … turns out its fantastic ! Got a fantastic flood setting which is about as good as it gets for searching for that fox in the middle of the night , battery life is amazing too.

All in all a cracking bit of kit .
