Thankfully it was only clothing and undamaged but how did it end up there.

I won't use either of them.


Under normal circumstances, UPS, DHL. TNT, DPD cost a little more, but offer a fare better service. Sadly, even they are unreliable at the moment, due to staff issues due to Covid.

Am I wrong in thinking this is with the delivery agent and the seller has in faith sent it ? if so I don't understand the post and why the sellers info has been given as a bad egg ? also police ??? sorry may have misunderstood the OP.
I now only use RM after being stung far to many times when items don't turn up without being Signed for and forced / guilt tripped into giving a refund even with proof of posting . So now if its 2nd class snail mail it is at the buyers risk . I have reported and found lost item over gates under cars or handed to me by home owners from another streets with a similar name ???

At the moment we have a very good driver with Hermes he manages to deliver everything sometimes as late as 9 pm. When he's on holiday chaos, parcels going to wrong address or never turning up.

Same as this in my area.A great guy delivers usually , when hes off things unravel quick.

I ordered and paid for an item on eBay UK on 24 Jan (Sunday and it was here via Royal Mail 48 today Thursday 28 Jan. So no problems with that as I it was picked, packed and wrapped on the Monday and tracking number allocated on that same day.

I always try to invest a bit of time with delivery drivers. Chat to them a bit, just like you would with the postman. Be the nicest address on their round. Not only will they look after your parcels better, but some of them - particularly the immigrants - have really interesting past lives to share.

We had a parcel 'delivered' by Hermes a couple of years ago but could not find it until we looked in the dustbin at the end of the drive; at least 200 yards from the house. Lucky that it wasn't collection day!
