Hearing protection companies

Hi, has anyone dealt with any of the Hearing protection companies in the UK? and found them helpful?
I have a friend who has an issue that any "loud" noise causes great pain. So much so that it is almost impossible for him to play with the grand children.
I was wondering if anyone has dealt with any of these companies, as I imagine the sound level on shooting ear protection is too high.
In ear and they ability to converse normally is a must.

Mercury near Gatwick are really good. I have shooting plugs but they do them for musicians and general work ones they may have a better pass through option than I currently have that could work. And being custom moulded they are comfy as…..
they can do them from moulds taken at local hearing places
