Hello All,

My name is Blake and I live in the Norfolk area. I am an Expat that has lived all over the world. I've hunted off and on my whole life with most of my success coming from hunting whitetail deer. Calibres commonly used were 308 and 12 gauge. These days I'm interested in a medal Red and a medal Fallow. Additionally, I like exploring the culinary side, making things like jerky, sausage and salami.

As a new member too I am interested in the kill it, cook it, eat it aspect and hope to cook up some lovely venison burgers on the BBQ some day. I like the idea of a jerky that you can take to a stalk and eat while looking for it's friends.....:lol:

Funnily enough, I wasn't even thinking about hunting in the UK until my co-worker was talking about the size of a muntjac. Then I got intrigued by the idea of smoking a whole muntjac. It all spiralled from there! When it does happen, I will definitely be posting pictures.

I'll be hangin out in the recipe thread to get some ideas. Whole smoked muntjac is bonkers, got me hungry waaaay before lunch!
