Hello from a newbie

Hi All, I'm Sam. I've been hanging around looking at the forum for a week or two and have decided to register so I can talk you you lovely lot . I'm a 33 guy from Somerset and have been shooting with a shotgun (clay and game, I like both) for a couple years and have decided to take the plunge into the world of stalking, I've booked a novice day and first stalk at the beginning of September and I'm very excited to get out in the field. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions for everyone, but I'm trying to hold myself back until I've been out on the first one and had some real life experience as I'm sure I'll learn a crazy amount on that first day out. I don't have an FAC currently, but if all goes well I'll be looking into this early next year after I've had the opportunity to go out a few more times. Looking forward to getting to know some people on here and if anyone is in the Somerset and fancies being a mentor, please give me a shout as I'd love to learn from an experienced stalker and would be grateful to come along and observe.

damn good idea, thank you for that, I was thinking about documenting dates I've been out, but it makes a lot of sense that a written confirmation from a professional would hold more weight when it comes time for the application
