Hello all, it's nice to be a part of the family at last!
I have used .22's (and shotguns but i'm not sure if we don't talk about that on here haha) for years and have recently had a .243 added to my FAC, which is very exciting. I'm new to centre fire rifles and i'm looking forward to getting into the world of deer stalking/ management. I work in Forestry and Arb in Cornwall so it's been interesting watching all the many deer stalking youtube channels and reading forums from that perspective. I hope my knowledge of the countryside and forest management will put me in good stead to start my stalking adventure and make some good contacts with likeminded individuals. My next step is to acquire my first .243 and get out with a couple of my friends/ mentors and also do my DS1/2 and meat hygiene courses.
As well as my love of being out in nature hunting and shooting, i'm tentatively pondering the possibility of deer management as a fall back from the tree business once my body has had enough abuse...but we will see.
I hope this is a decent introduction, thanks.
Charlie.
