Hi All,

I've been reading the forums for a few weeks and thought I'd finally join in. Just have to say it's a great resource here and I've already learnt a lot!

I'm new to stalking but not to deer. I spend my days looking after nature reserves but in my current patch there are way too many CWD and muntjac so thought I would try to get a bit more proactive.

I'm looking at getting more experience with .22 rifles and focus on small deer so will probably be posting mostly about that. Not too interested in long range or targets, and will leave the big deer up to the rest of you.

Welcome to the site. I hope your reference to .22 rifles was not Rim Fire? they are not legal even for small deer.
