Hey folks, I live in northern New York state (not the city, or even close to it). I mainly hunt whitetails in hilly timber. I love trying out new rifles and reloading for new cartridges, I usually have something new to hunt with every year. I bought my first European rifle, a Husqvarna 1640 in 6.5x55 and hunted with it this year. I've tried all sorts of rifles and cartridges for hunting and I really like this Husqvarna, especially the cartridge. I'm not a huge guy, and I've found European rifles fit me much better than standard American rifles. This Husqvarna fits like a glove, and feels like it just want to leap to my shoulder. The light weight is wonderful to handle and carry. It is a far cry from how something like a rem 700 cdl fits, which feels like it is just made for larger people.
So now I've caught the bug for European rifles. I've been doing lots of reading and researching, and keep finding myself here on this forum, so I figured I should join. I'm looking forward to learning and contributing here.
