Hi everyone. I thought i would introduce myself. I've not been on
here before but i have been interested in stalking for some time,
u.k and south africa.I would love to have a try for muntjac and
chinese water deer so i'm looking at sorting out an outing for these.
Welcome to the site, we share the same interests, I'm going back to Kwa-natal in May, I stalk most Mondays, mostly Muntjac, many people percieve them as vermin, I think they are great they give a demanding stalk, and I can usually find or call one, not allways, my stalking would no longer be challeging. Where did you go in S/A I'm looking for 3 others to make up party in May. deerwarden

Thanks for the reply deerwarden i went to the black umfolozi
area of kwa-zulu natal during their winter. It was a pretty good
trip really, the scenery was fantastic,we were miles from
anywhere and i was fortunate enough to shoot several good
trophies,all plains game,impala,blesbok,springbok e.t.c.
About muntjac i agree they are a superb species in their own
right and i feel they should be given more respect than seems
to be the case at the moment, although i have to admit that as
yet i have not actually shot one.I have seen plenty though and
they are fascinating creatures to watch.
