I thought they used to have a lifetime warranty when they first came out

Just had a wave replaced under warranty, it was 22 years old and i did not have a receipt

Contact the importer.

15 years (or so) again I snapped the screwdriver on my leatherman by using it as a lever (yes, stupid).

Contacted them to ask if I could pay for a repair as I owned up to why it had snapped. They said to send it back and they’d have a look. A few weeks later I got a brand new one sent FOC.

Things may have changed but they certainly used to look after you.

Second this. Print the form off Whitby and co, they only want basic details. Send weatherman off with the form, If they can’t fix it, they usually replace it. Worth a go !
On a similar vein, I sent a buck knife back to them which I bought from a bargain bin in a Florida gun shop, after many years of abuse and various tip snaps and regrinding, it finally snapped mid length. Buck (via whitby & co) replaced it with a newer model, obviously Buck give a lifetime warranty and not a measly 25 years with their product :D
