Herts Police variations

Does anyone have recent experience with Herts police on processing one for one variations. just submitted the paperwork looking for an idea on timescales

Best guess 4 months, but it’s like a piece of string ( how long)

thought it may be something like this. Things certainly appear to have slipped since the licensing departments amalgamated. Haven’t done a variation since it was Herts police only and they turned them around within a couple of weeks. oh well the wait begins

My renewal despite being put in 8 weeks before expiry is so called in the post and cert is now nearly 3 weeks out of date

I did a one for one with Cambs (firearms administered centrally with Beds and Herts) in October and they called me after about three weeks. I haven't yet had my new cert but it has been less than two weeks since the call.

BCH have said that if the application goes in with a med form and it is delayed beyond the 6 month med form validity, it will still be valid.

But as with most of the new legislations it is not well thought out nor the procedures explained in any detail, leaving much to be interpreted by each different force.
