stalker.270..
New Member
Hi all,
I am a new member here, i came across this forum from a chatting to a few guys from my local club and thought it was something I should join, more to keep my eye out for any opportunity’s etc.
I have been an avid shooter and countryman for a large proportion of my life, being the grandson of a gamekeeper and son of a shoot captain I have naturally followed on in my family’s footsteps.
I carry out many disciplines of shooting, wildfowling, duck flighting, pest and predator control, deer stalking and game shooting (rough or driven). I’m a keen fly and sea fisherman too.
Currently I am a part time gamekeeper on a small family farm shoot in Essex, with days producing mixed bags of pheasant and partridge. We also are currently working on the conservation of a small covey of grey partridge on the farm too.
I have an array of calibre's for my stalking and fox control, I personally use a .243 for a majority of my day to day work however I do venture up to a .270 when heading up north on some reds which I am also currently looking to change for a 6.5 creedmore (fashionable I know!).
