Hi everyone at SD, I live in S. Devon, have been shooting in one form or another for 30 years. I started shooting with a Diana .22 air rifle, rabbits and pigeons as a teen. I now shoot .17hmr, .22lr, 38sp/.357, 6.5x55 and 12b shotgun in o\u and semi auto. I reload for 6.5x55 and 38sp/.357.
Im a member of a local pheasant syndicate, local fullbore rifle club and carry out vermin control on various local farms.
I have a black lab cross pointer as rarely needed backup, multi purpose pigeon, pheasant and rabbit dog (originally for blood trailing deer but not used much for that)
Started with an old .243 Parker Hale/meopta scope set up but changed to 'swede' after long consideration.
I am currently working towards DSCii having got DSCi some years ago. Ive been involved with local deer management (roe and fallow) for approx 12 years, I enjoy all my shooting and hope to introduce one of my sons to deerstalking soon, he has two years gameshooting under his belt, four as a club rifle shot and many more as a beater.
Ive been a frequent visitor to this site preferring to listen, learn and observe other peoples methods and opinions. You never too old to learn new things so here I am..cheers, devonair.
