Three pegs available on a high (but not extreme) bird shoot in North Wales near the town of Mold, in Flintshire - Monday 11 November.
I took the day with some good deerstalking friends for whom this is an annual treat - sadly family and health issues have caused some late drop-outs. The other guns are laid back countrymen who spend a lot of time in the field, not top shot types.
The day is fully catered with a cooked breakfast on arrival, hot elevenses and finishes with a roast dinner.
Four drives will be focussed on partridge with some pheasants mixed in - 200 bird bag; £1400 each peg.
