Highseat culling syndicate

OBJECTIVE:

To set up a Highseat Culling Syndicate on various estates managed by DGVM, where there is a requirement to reduce deer numbers. This is set out in the cull plans for those estates and will be concentrating on females and cull animals rather than trophy males. (any trophy animals that are shot will be charged at our current rates).

The deer management will be from high seats ONLY.

WHO CAN APPLY:

1. Members must have their own Firearm Certificate and appropriate calibre rifle. (You will need to prove the rifle is zeroed with a session on the range before your first outing)

2. Members must have DSC1 or equivalent.

3. Members must provide evidence of correct up to date insurance.

DETAILS:

1. The syndicate member will be enrolled in the scheme and will be entitled to 20 outings which can be made up of full days or individual am/pm outings.

2. Once they have had their 20 outings they can purchase extra days if required

3. Dates and times to be booked with DGVM in advance. (This will be via WhatsApp)

4. Own transport to a pre-arranged meeting point. Start and finish times will be agreed in advance of the outing.

5. Cull animals included. The carcasses are yours to take home. Any badly shot or lost animals, that you are not taking home will be charged at current game dealer prices. (This is gut, saddle or haunch shot which makes the animal un-saleable or un-processable by us).

10 days 'stalking' for 1800 quid? Surely that's not a syndicate any more and is effectively a block booking for paid stalks?

if deer are shot and left to be sold, does the 'stalker' get paid for them?
