Hik Alpex Pro

It'll have to be good to make me get one and move my Alpex Lite to my foxing rifle.

It looks like they're basically amalgamating the 4K Lite and the big 4K so that they're not competing products on the same product line. In my opinion that's the only reason they marketed the Alpex Lite to the airgun market. It always has had the same sensor and recoil rating as the big 4K.

I feel that if this thing doesn't come with a better sensor, it won't be different enough to warrant an upgrade.

Also, incorporating the LRF would have looked miles better but I understand they would then be faced with two bad choices. 1, incorporate the LRF into the lens itself making the lens even smaller by using part of its real estate, or option 2, a bigger lens which defeats the object of slimming things down and increases the weight (glass is heavy).

Without knowing a thing about it. My initial thoughts are; looks intended for air gunners. Looks like a built in ir, that’s probably not as good as most people’s add ons. And there for not as good as the alpex 4k lrf

Looks bloody awful why not put the LRF internally
Because the internal LRF ruins the light gathering ability and requires a massive 60mm Objective to counteract it
This keeps it neat and tidy, lowers the scope on the rifle.

Unoffical secrets act applies following the Webinar....
The Pro looks like an upgrade to the original 4K
Lighter, slimmer profile
Rear mount Zoom and Side Focus
Faster start up

Whole thing looks pants to me - great the lrf is smaller but why make it look like that instead of just elongate the section housing it & the objective? The shape lends itself to getting caught &, heaven forbid, bending or snapping off!

Whilst on the subject of bending or snapping off… that silly little bit sticking out of the rotating ring in front of the ocular housing isn’t going to last 5 minutes when the rifle is put into a case, or even slung over a shoulder whilst out stalking. As soon as it snags on anything it’ll be toast!

Even if the internals are the mutts the form is not. I’ll stick with my 4K lrf thank you.
