Hik micro habrok, are they any good for deer stalking?

Just after people’s opinions on this as it seems great value for money! Is the base mag of 5.5x too high?
Thanks

Personally I think the base mag is too high for scanning for deer (on the thermal side). If they had a base mag of x 2 I’d have bought some already !

What would you recommend for around the £1000 mark with lrf? What do you use?

If you are just deer stalking then I would say, yes, excellent.
If you want them for foxing and bunnies, then no.
In my personal opinion.
You think the base mag is too high for bunnies then?

Currently use a pulsar XQ35 and don’t feel the need to LRF with thermal. I guess it depends on your type of stalking - if you’re on large open fields the Habrok’s base mag would be ok but if you’re often in woodland you need a wider scan.

I have no issues with base mag. Binos for stalking are generally x8.
My issue is that for bunnies the IR is good to 40 yards, OK out about 80.yards, needs extra ir after that. The thermal is just too low spec
Even though the thermal detection range is 1200m? I guess the low spec means it would be hard to identify the animal at 100 yards?

Yeah I’m mainly stalking out on open arable fields rarely ever go into woodlands, it’s more whether the thermal is good enough really at night for bunnies

I've got some and think they're spot on, they're never going to be the best at everything but can't tell much between the Pulsar XQ50F I had before and then add in the nv/day mode can't go wrong

I've had a pair of Habroks from when they first appeared. I never use the IR as the thermal is so good.

I was out with mine last night and rabbits were clearly visible at 400 yards plus.
Looks like I’ll be getting myself a pair then haha! Thanks

Yeah definitely gonna get myself a pair I think!

If you are talking about the HE25L 4k version they are aimed at stalking and low light, just a look at all there sales info and it's talks about stalking and shows pictures of deer.
If you want to see rabbits and foxes then you will need to step upto the hh35l or hq35l

I bought a pair of these about 6 weeks ago. Yes the base mag is a bit on the high side but you soon get used to it. Yes they are a compromise is some areas (thermal resolution is not brilliant but still more that sufficient to spot a heat source and tell its a deer). Thermal, great optical channel, night vision mode with built in IR and LRF - all for £1129. what's not to like!

I like the format of the Habrok it's a good all in one device, that covers everything.

In terms of thermal , I personally think a Condor CQ35L gives a better image or a Falcon FQ35, with the sub-round displays on the Habrok and the increase in magnification using the display alone , makes everything look too big and adds some distortion to the image in comparision to the Condor/Falcon.

In comparision to a Merger XP/XL the actual thermal image on the Habrok and refresh is not as good IMO, but there will be advancements all the time and new kit will no doubt come out to improve again...

So would you not recommend the Habrok but a condor or falcon?
Thanks
