Now that's worth considering.

I think it's a really good deal.
The HIK still has wifi while the equivalent Pulsar C50 does not, but putting that aside, the Alpex is now £250 cheaper than the equivalent Pulsar C50
Arguably the C50 is the better all round product, but I don't think it's £250 better

The scope is exactly the same, the only difference is that it does not come with an IR illuminator or mount to attach the illuminator to the scope.

I use one of these with mine and they provide an excellent image.

No they work pretty good low light. You can use IR when the light drops quite a bit to provide eye shine if you find it hard to locate quarry.
