Hikmicro Alpex not picking up IR

Ive had it a few times with my Alpex - annoyingly often when Ive picked the rifle up to shoot a deer and I'm met with a black screen. A software update seems to have worked for me - touch wood, I havent had it for a few months now.
Cheers...software is kept up to date...good job I have no hair to pull out lol 👍

Honestly , he’s been on ignore for donkeys and it makes the place just that bit more pleasant .
Totally agree ... i wish I found the button earlier

Shame he doesnt follow his own advice and sees fit to either be a tool or just be spiteful by posting where its not required. Wish he would put me on ignore ...probably needs all the back slaps he can get ...sad

Mine hasn’t been updated since I bought it
Same with my spotter and my thermal scope
Just a big feardy that it changes something I don’t want it to
I did have the same fear but kept it up to date just to be safe...With this issue the first thing they would have said "does it have the most recent version of the software."...same as "did you turn your computer off and on again":lol:

When i jokingly say chuck it in the pond, what im inferring is, get rid and get a replacement, the amount of time and money you will waste on posting it, emailing, calls, testing and zeroing, fuel to go test it, etc. I’ve worked for two large night vision companies so far, and I can say that more often than not it’s like knee surgery. Once you start, you’ll keep going back for more repairs.

Tell Elite, we’ll, the shop you got it from actually - send a new replacement and either money compensation for wasted time, ammo and fuel, or some merchandise as an apology.

If they don’t, move brand.

And dremels btw, so belong in a pond 😜

Sorry mate...I got the wrong end of the stick and do apologise for this 👍

Fortunately the gun shop I purchased it from is great so no cost to me. If the scope comes back and isnt sorted the second time then I will be getting a replacement ...and it will be FOC 👍 If it goes wrong again it will be in the pond ...hopefully the Nocpix D70R is available by then 👍

Anybody had any issues with their scope not picking up the IR output?

About 2 weeks ago my Alpex decided it didnt like the IR and the image for obvious reasons wasnt good.

Initial thought was an issue with the IR which is a Ward Dark Engine Blade . Tried the IR with my Zulu and no issue so tried a NM 800 and NM 400 with the zulu and all worked fine. Went back to the Alpex and no joy.

I factory reset the unit and still had the issue, cycled through night modes and automatic mode and still had the issue. Sent back to Elite Optics and they tested it and apparently all was fine...had it back and same issue.....Image during the day is spot on both in day and night mode, I also make sure I select the correct shutter setiing for day and night.

Im going to check it again tonight and maybe leave the unit of for a bit before I see what its doing.

Anyone experienced this and what was the outcome?

Any thoughts are welcome
Mines did exactly this, even on manual night mode, and for no reason stopped doing it, never updated software etc it just started working 🤷‍♂️ bloody annoying as I had 50 mile round trip for pigeons and never pulled the trigger!

For all the advantages that digital give you there is always that lingering doubt in your mind that the bugger will turn on and work :)
