HIKMICRO M15 Trail camera

I’ve just purchased a HIKMICRO M15 trail camera and put it out in the field today. It’s been a rainy day today and I’ve had 50+ false activations caused by the rain since putting it out @10am. All the settings are on low and I keep getting activation notifications. If it’s so sensitive it keeps activating by the rain I think I’m going to return it as it’s not really fit for purpose. Has anyone else had the same problem? Thanks in advance.

Had no problems with mine, i use Energizer lithium , expensive but well worth it, they last for ever, not had any problems with false activations and my cams are set to high sensitivity , I'm quite impressed with them,

yep use energizer lithium last forever, standard duracell ect don't last ,

mine are the same always sending tons of random photos especially on a sunny day

Not used Hik cams but I use ltl acorn trail cams and distributor says do not use Duracell but recommends eneloop pro rechargeable ones.
I have also used energiser none rechargeable ones and they are very good but prefer to use rechargeable.
Sorry can't respond to false triggers.

I’ve not had that problem but mine hammers batteries and I’ve tried cheap ones and expensive ones and it makes no difference it still eats them
Mines the same, using Energiser rechargeables, last about a fortnight.Lots of false activations even with the sensitivity turned down.Image quality nothing like my ten year old Bushnell.

With regard to false activations ,most problems are down to where the cam is positioned, it takes a bit of time to get it right, out of direct sun light , wind direction, type of close folliage, etc etc, all sorts of things can play havoc with the PIR

Anyone having trouble with battery choice?
I shelled out for very expensive Ansmann and Uniross and they fail to fire up the camera.
The cheap Amazon jobbies are OK though.

When chosing rechargable batteries for this trail cam and most others go lithium ion. these operate at 1.5 volt whereas ni cad and NMH cells operate AT 1.2 volt hence the low opperating time.

No,they last fine if the delay is left at the factory setting of 24h.
