Hikmicro stellar sq50 vs nocpix ace h50r

The thermal is better than the digital. Fox's see the ir. The ir bounces back of grass and other vegetation. No hiding from the thermal. Regardless wether digital or thermal i will want my range under 300

I think you'd be happy with either sight,
I have the sq50l and also get to use the sx60l on occasion, a friend has the nocpix h50r,
All great scopes, I dont tend to take very long shots but was very impressed with the ballistic calculator a few nights ago on a fox at 350yds

I’ve been using a Nocpix ace for a month or so and have not been this underwhelmed by a thermal scope since I owned a pulsar trail for less than a week. I have now gone back to the Alpex

What did you particularly dislike ? As I’m undecided between the Nocpix 50R and the HIKMICRO equivalent.

I found that NV was good for open fields and when calling a fox in you could pick it up quickly enough but on some of my ground where there is a lot of cover with bracken , whins and rushes I could pick up the fox with my handheld thermal but not with the NV and when it’s a lamb killer you need it away as quickly as possible as time is very important . A couple of nights I got frustrated with the NV on the rifle as I called the fox in but it wouldn’t come out of the tall grass so I couldn’t pick it up with NV to shoot so ended up all thermal . Never looked back with thermal scope .

Hi all, im looking for opinions from people that have actually looked through/used both of the above scopes. If you’ve got either but haven’t looked through the other then I’m afraid your to much help 😂
I’m currently using an alpex and really like it however it has cost me a few foxes just because I couldn’t find them quickly enough in the scope after switching from the thermal spotter!

The scope will be used for all sorts of shooting but predominantly foxing out to ranges of 400/500 yards.
I’m not too worried about weight as most of my foxing is done from the buggy or static from corners of fields.
I no they both use the same sensor so id imagine image quality is much of a muchness in both but what’s the image like in both when a bit of magnification is used? How does the ocular mag work on the nocpix?

Thankyou very much 👍🏻
I have both the Ace 50R and 60R and have held back from answering your post 'till I'd given them a workout.
You can forget shooting foxes at 400/500 yards with any degree of consistency or accuracy. With the Ace60R/optical mag 300yards on an adult dog fox would be possible broadside in good conditions. The 50R would get pixelated at that range. Both scopes will cope adequately at 200yds giving a clear image.

I having the same thoughts about these thermals atm. I found in the last year I’ve been getting a fair few IR wise foxes and it ain’t me missing them 😂 but loads of lads out with NV now blasting at alsorts of ranges 🤦🏻‍♂️ so making the move to thermal very shortly as I’ve several spots I just can’t afford to be not nailing them. I really like both thermals but I’ve had Hik gear for abit so very familiar but I do like the nocpix a lot as well and obviously 3.5k ain’t cheap I want make the correct decision. I’ve picked out pros and cons myself comparing in person but I’m being really picky.

Think of Hik as a watercolour. Think of Nocpix as an oil painting.

I have a 640 sensor Ace scope (50) and the same Habrok binos. The Ace is 100% better every time and I can't wait for them to bring out a pair of decent multispectral binos because I will be moving to them instantly.
Are You shure that a huge difference doesn't belongs from other factors as magnification and the lens diameter of the scope versus the binos? Not to be unpolite but I can't imagine such a gap in physical sensors or software algoritmes between those two china productions. While I can witness myself the changing in view comfort and clearness when swapping between different focals and magnification devices. That said me too as a pulsar and hick micro customer can agree at the moment nocpix is at the top for some features. But have also experienced some nasty software bugs with the scope of my best hunting pal wich was supposed to be the acme of their thermal line.
