Well its not £100 but you can still help get the cull numbers if you go to the right places and you can shoot.Long gone are the £100 fill your boot days !
Abn the cost of managing that ground/those deer is less than the private sector why?And to think FCS/Nature Scot could be “having it large” to the benefit of the Scottish tax payer, and at the expense of those keen but ‘soft’ Lowland Deerstalkers wishing to put their £300 boots and an all-copper spitting Creedmoor to the test.

There is a cull target, why should there be a limit other than the guns ability to shoot? It's not the stags. Get the cull in early save the stalker some work. So prices go up and the shooting goes down? Great deal that. Greedflation. How many deer are people expecting to shoot in a day ?
No it's not. Cheaper shooting available elsewhere in Scotland.£600 for two days with three deer is £200 per deer.
Is that reasonable or not ?
Not aimed at you in any way.No it's not. Cheaper shooting available elsewhere in Scotland.
If you were referring to me then you need to have a look at yer sums. £300 a day, 2 days, 2 guns = £1200 (plus tips just to add insult to injury) for 3 auld hinds = £400+ per deer to do the stalkers job. Want to pay that, on crappy short days with two shite stalkers who think they are pulling the wool over your eyes? Didn't think so.
I only did it 'cos a mate wanted to and didn't know any better.
I can get a whole seasons stalking for £500, why do i want to pay £400 (or £200 for that matter) to shoot a knackered old hind and not get to keep the venison.
Sure there is a market, but let's not pretend it is a good deal at those prices.
