Not sure I can bring myself to load and fire them...

Load them and fire them, that’s what they were made for, preferably at a mahoosive stag

You can always have the rigby case mounted on the plaque with the trophy?

You are of course right.

I have oft chided another member on here for not opening a decent bottle of Whiskey using the same argument.

Just need to source another 20 x 140gr bullets and I will get it done.

@Stalker1962 are those "special" cases factory primed?

It appears that the primer in the photo has NP on it which from memory is what old Norma primed cases and factory ammo had.

Indeed they are - well spotted.

I have been advised to de-prime them; as they have been sat in a RFDs workshop (they are all the same) for about twenty years, and may have ignition issues?

I would definitely replace the primers, especially if you plan to treat yourself to that special stag.

@Stalker1962, approximately two years ago I loaded up some primed Norma 220 Swift cases that I purchased back in 1979 and they all went bang.

They had been stored in my steel ammo safe in an unheated room for all those years.

I could spare 20 or more Nosler 140 gr . Solid Base soft points in 7mm
