Out of the box. Tikka is lovely and crisp, howa hact trigger is crisp but heavy. I cut 2 coils off the spring and sanded the safety plunger thingy, now it's every bit as good as the tikka, and the safety inst as notchy as it was.

Howa is just fine, also found the trigger heavy but crisp, but it’s quite serviceable out of the box, bit like the basic Remington 700 really. It’s not a Tikka but it’s capable of good accuracy

Case closed. A CZ 527 Varmint in 223 poppew up with threaded muzzle and a 1:9 twist so i scrambled and pulled the trigger on it. I can always get a howa some day if i feel the need. A CZ527 is worth its weighr in gold nowadays

I have howa 223 sa 1-8 shoots any weight ammo , accurate , cheep , fitted another trigger which made it absolutely superb to shoot . All I can say glad I went for this and not a tikka
