So, I wanted to pop this post in an effort to help anyone else who maybe wanting to do the same.
I had been pondering getting a Hushpower for a while now, I looked at the Mossberg pumps, to be honest the cost for a new one was more than I was wanting to pay, and there second hand value is good too.
I spoke to the gents at hush power and found out they do a “screw in” moderator for a multi choke shotgun, read a few reviews and there was mention that if I went with a semi auto, it may not cycle especially with Hushpower cartridges too.
I decided to give it a go, bought a 20g Hatsan Escort semi auto for £200 and took the chance. I sent an extended choke that I had and Hushpower built me an end barrel mod, for £185 they simply fix the multi choke to a mod and bingo job done.
I have tried the mod with Hushpower and standard cartridges and it cycles perfectly with both, there is not a lot of difference between the two with reference to the “bang”.
So I am a happy camper and best part when I am decoying, I just unscrew the mod, put the spare choke in and have my pigeon gun as it was.
Thanks, Neill
