I’m back.

Some of you may remember me from a few years back. Specifically the catastrophic floods that i suffered just before Covid struck.
After repairing the house the decision was taken to sell it and move to my wife’s motherland—-Ireland. 🙄
Well I am now fully embedded here and what can I say—-what a strange place it has turned out to be.
I now live on the side of a mountain, have a couple of Air bnb’s and shoot deer when I’m not making beds. Bought myself some deer (Sika) (god they were hard to find) and pretty much became retired.
So here are some pics of what Ireland has given me so far.

well done on your move teyhan 1, looks like you’ve hit gold all round, glad it all turned out well 👍

Looks great, friends of ours left England and moved to County Kerry a few years back and set up a B & B /Air b&b. Really enjoyed it then realised how much hard work it was and sold up, but stayed in the Republic as they love it!

Great pics. You'll find, as I did, that you made the right move. I'm not retired, but I don't think I'd get more shooting done even if I was, makes a big difference to have stalking on my door step.

Extraction is a killer though, boggy fields this morning meant dragging animals...

Always good to hear when a move turns out for the best, especially when it has come from an unfortunate situation.

All the best going forward.

Although I have found stalking easy to get, dealing with a dead weight the size of a small horse is difficult. And as Dryan has said, it can get very wet.
