I used them on the Hohenfels US training ground one year, 20kms from my home.

You’d get even more hassle as you have to declare firearms at every Border and pay for import /transit permits, then do it all again on the way back, if you didn’t and chanced it, then got caught, it gets reported to your firearms provider in U.K. your firearms could also be confiscated
