I've used a similar player prior to the advent of bluetooth on mobile phones, set it going and was going to walk back to the firing position 50 yards away, turn around confronted by quite a hungry looking fox!

Yep - technology is amazing now and cheap! Never ceases to amaze me just how far away foxes can hear and respond to them.
