Thanks - put forward a really well balanced and in depth, but big picture case that seemed to be entirely fact based rather than agenda driven.

There is a lot of science-based material out there which supports "consumptive" use where appropriate. The website africasustainableconservation.com has a lot of interesting news on it and is frequently updated. If you look up prof adam hart twitter you will frequent links to articles which explore the realities of large scale conservation in southern Africa and elsewhere. Hart was a contributor to the paper cited in the OP.
 
Eduardo Goncalves, who fronts the anti trophy hunting movement (which is simply anti hunting) has a book out, which is being promoted today by the Mirror and no doubt others. This has become hugely emotive and science is out of the window.
