Intro....also from Somerset/Devon border

Hi all
Thought I'd write this intro post as I definitely do not want to be excommunicated! Anyway, been shooting for years - .22 mostly. Took up stalking last year. Have been practicing as much as possible on a couple of ranges near to me. I'm luck enough to have a small bit of my own ground so have built a bunker to shoot into! Thought I'd practice as I don't fancy injuring anything and want to make sure I'm confident. Have now been out stalking a few times - out with Nick Spoor (top chap) in Gloucester, Ian Harrington (another top bloke) in Dorset and also Stan Tucker (lovely guy) in Devon. Three nicer blokes you could not meet. All with bags of knowledge to pass on, great advice and very patient with a novice like me! Have so far taken a Muntjac doe, Roe Buck and Red pricket. Have skinned and butchered (probably very amateurishly) them myself and they are now mostly in my freezer. Had some issues with hanging the red due to size and my set up not being ideal. Have just bought a tall fridge to convert as my barns aren't that cool. Shoot a .243 Heym SR20 (utterly love it), a Mauser 22 Lux (love this too) and have a Mauser M03 in 30-06 waiting to be collected. All my guns are wood stocked - I'm a bit of a traditionalist and love a decent bit of timber (I make stuff out of nice bits of wood - bowls, platters, spoons, tables etc etc). Had superb service and unlimited help and advice from Steve Beatty at Ivythorne: my go to bloke for questions about pretty much anything! Looking forward to getting out more. Everyone I've messaged on here has been really great and very helpful. Need to balance my obsession with stalking etc with home life as my wife rolls her eyes when I start talking about anything gun related. As she said to me the other day: "Dude, I know when I'm talking with you that even though you are looking at me and nodding, you are actually thinking about bullets!". That's not entirely accurate as I also love beautifully made knives too...! ;)
Anyway, hope that was an ok intro. Attached are some pics: both current rifles, although scopes have changed a bit. Home made shooting bench seems to work fine.
Cheers
Ant
