Hi All
Thank for welcoming me to the stalking directory.
My name is Hugh and I live in London, UK. As my profile suggests am a newbie stalker and here primarily to learn (from zero) and develop my stalking knowledge and skills over the next few years.
I am already a passionate fisherman and game shot and have been since my teenage years,
Typically fish up to ten days a season for trout and salmon. All over the country but particularly South Wales where I have a cottage, Scotland where I have relatives plus syndicate rods in the wildest valley in Northumberland and a secret chalkstream in Bedfordshire. Have been abroad to fish as well in both Slovenia and Norway.
Shooting wise I average 3-5 days a season for partridge, pheasant plus occasional duck or grouse. Mainly driven but sometimes walked-up. Safe and experienced if not as straight as more practice would allow me to be.
Keen to reach out to people who can help me start my rifle stalking journey - thinking of DSC course with a view to lowland stalking in South of England Initially before progressing to Highland then my lifetime fantasy of continental boar once feel safe and proficient.
Love hunting and the countryside.
Hugh
