Afternoon All,
After lurking for a few months and with a slow day in the office I thought I would finally join.
I am a London based country sportsman though I grew up in Devon. I have been a long time driven & walked up bird shooter as well as clays in the off season. I got into deer stalking about 1 year ago, have now been out about 10-15 times and been lucky to take a number of beasts during those outings. I recently completed the DSC1 for no other reason than it seemed the appropriate thing to do. I stalk purely for sport, pleasure and venison.
One of my key motivations for deer stalking (besides the fact the activity is thoroughly enjoyable) is that I believe intensive farming can have negative effects on the environment and I had a disconnect with my food, particularly my meat. I have now manage to shift my diet to about 90% wild game, which is mostly venison shot by myself.
I look forward to continuing my pursuits of this sport.
