I am joining the site as I have been recommended by other members. I’m looking at getting started in deer stalking. I’ve got some limited experience in the highlands and down south. I have been stalking for around 1 year. I’m Looking at doing the DSC1 as soon as possible. First experience at stalking was in the highlands (kildermorie estate) this was with 6.5 creedmoor (estate rifle from the ghille)I was lucky enough to get my first few deer on this shoot. this was a week long course consisting of stalking 2x a day, range time (an hour every day) skinning, firearms lessons and butchery and since then I’ve been really keen to do more. I’m based in north wales ( Flintshire) but I’m willing to travel. I’m looking for opportunities to stalk with more experienced stalkers. I would be looking to use an estate rifle as I’m still in the process of gaining my FAC. Thanks Sam.
