What to say,
I was privileged enough to accompany some very experienced stalkers from a you age, still got plenty to learn, Kaizen and all that but my experience to date:
Lots of small quarry from a young age with air rifle, .22lr, 17hmr and some varmenting with the 222
I do quite allot of squirrel trapping & shooting accounting for a few hundred each year, actively involved with the study & control of alien invasive species.
A bit of SG but more of a rifle man
Stalk over a few thousand acres, mainly small 'ish plots, largest one just 660 acres, no more than 50-60 deer a year, some years only 20-25, mainly roe, muntjac and a few fallow.
Shot on some special licences NE, NRW
6.5x55 for almost all of my stalking and fox shooting but use the 7mmRM too
Shoot competitively for a club and have several calibres that are used for different target disciplines
Not a re-loading nut/buff but work with physics so do what i can to develop some loads that fit my requirements
Blaser R93 fan, mainly for the scope changeability, invested in an expensive thermal so it's great to swap it on and off different calibres with the no loss of zero. the idea was originally to have one or 2 r93 stocks and actions and a selection of barrels but that soon changed to a selection of stocks and a selection of barrels.
Always happy to support those keen to start off learning the craft of stalking where possible, I've taken a few people out over the last couple of years and quite enjoy seeing people progress.
