G'day. I'm a relative new member to the site. I live in Victoria, Australia and mainly hunt deer locally - sambar & fallow, but occasionally Chital & Rusa in Queensland. Done a bit of hunting in New Zealand as well for Chamios & Tahr, along with Sika and Ibex overseas.
I have a number of rifles - Blaser R8, Sauer 202TD, and a selection of Sako's. Calibres include .17 Rem, .243, .308, 30-06, 7x64, 9.3x62, 300WM, and .338WM. Also a couple of 12g guns with which I could do with a lot more practise.
I enjoy time down the range developing various loads and optics variations.
Been shooting & hunting for 45 years +, and still get a thrill out of it. Just enjoy being outdoors, watching and learning from the animals and if necessary topping up the freezer should the appropriate opportunity present itself.
