Introduction

Howdy all,

I am a lifelong shooter and hunter, having grown up in Africa before relocating to Australia and living there for twenty years. My wife is British, and we recently relocated to West Kirby on the Wirral. I'm intending to apply for a licence here, before importing a few of my rifles.

I helped introduce the Precision Service Rifle competition to Australia, starting in Canberra, and then expanding to several other states. I'm interested in participating in the PRS series here in the UK, although what I'd really love to see is some version of the NRL Hunter series.

I'm mostly interested in long range precision rifles, but I have an infinity for virtually anything firearms related.

Thrilled to be part of this community and hope to learn much from everyone here.

Welcome - I went to watch at the Bisley PRS shoot a couple of weeks ago - I fancy having a try but will probably be with stalking rifle to start with. Explain the NRL Hunter Series please?

Thanks. NRL hunter is similar to PRS, but has weight limits that make the matches more practical, and more aligned with hunting scenarios.

Sounds good, I liked the look of PRS as a shoot but it seems a bit of an arms race and I wouldn’t fancy carrying one of the rifles stalking! Get yourself established over here then I think you would get a lot of support on here for rolling out a UK version!
