Hi, I would like to introduce myself as an experienced but keen to learn stalker and driven Boar shot. I have fortunately have shot all six species of naturalised deer in the UK. Shot many Red, Roe and Fallow.

I have DSC 1 and was one of the first few to take the exam. I’ve also run some Deer management plans for some estates in the UK in the past.

Now live in France, have passed my Permis de Chasse exam and now mainly shoot driven boar and deer. I’m a member of an association and in that association I help to supervise the dissection and processing of each animal . Shooting is very regulated here , but in a good way. We shoot every Saturday (Grand Gibier) throughout the season for boar ,red deer and roe and have quotas ..particularly with the exploding boar population.

I joined this site to keep up-to-date with UK legislation , very interested in product reviews , member stalking experiences and ballistic information. Plus being able to share some of our experiences here in France.

Always keen to absorb knowledge and learn new information. I also have a big interest in taxidermy.

Rifles . I mainly shoot 25.06 and 30.06. Have used 9.3x74 , .308 and 7mm Rem Mag in the past.

Welcome to the site. I have been to France twice for a boar shoot sadly lack of experience meant I did not get one, although every one was given some Boar meat to take home , it was delicious.

BC.

Hi and thanks. Yes thats generally the rule of the thumb the meat gets distributed to the landowners and hunters (Chasseurs). Given the populations exploding, am sure you will get many more chances.
