Hi all
Been shooting 30 years mostly game and vermin with shotgun and .22 long rifle and .22 magnum.
I live in Cheshire and own some ground in Sutton which has deer visiting regularly. Today on my way to my ground i am pretty sure I saw a muntjack feeding about a mile from my land in Bosley. I am just wondering if you guys have any thoughts on this and if anyone else has seen them in this area?.

There's been reports of them occasionally around here. I saw one years ago in Kerridge but it was the only time I've seen one. There are the odd ones knocking about Wilmslow and over towards Leek way so it would make sense they were coming through, just not in any numbers yet.

There are a lot of roe moving around at the minute though

Thanks for the reply. I see a lot of deer on my ground but I think they are red deer.
I will keep an eye for the muntjack and post on here if I see it again

Reds are predominantly what we have around here with Roe being somewhat new to the area with numbers building every year.

Muntjac on the other hand the reality is, if you see one, there are more! Just hoping they find somewhere suitable to stay.
