Hi I'm based between Exeter and Cheltenham travelling a lot with work. I have been shooting infrequently for several years, typically target with club rifles (5.56, .308, 6.5cm) Recently I have wanted to get into deer stalking, I've completed my DSC1 and am currently in the process of acquiring my FAC.
I have also completed and introduction to PRS course and am hooked. My current plan is to get 2 slots for 6.5cm, one set up as a PRS rifle and one for stalking. Somehow I am already a Tikka and 6.5CM-fanboy so anticipate plenty of questions about the status of my manbun. Joking aside I am leaning towards a T3x variant for stalking and probably the Ace Target to get me started on PRS (not sure I can justify an AI as a starter rifle).
My plan at the moment is to get some experience under my belt and learn as much as I can from experienced deer stalkers. With my proximity to the Forest of Dean eventually I'd like to move into boar too but one thing at a time.
Several people that manage deer near me recommended the forum, so I thought I'd join up so I could participate instead of just lurking.
